Terms of Service
The deal between you and Mask.
By installing the Mask Chrome extension or using the Mask dashboard at usemask.us, you agree to these terms. Effective May 14, 2026.
1. What Mask is
Mask is a client interface that lets you mint single-use virtual cards from a Stripe Link wallet you already own, and autofills those cards at checkout. Mask is not a bank, payment processor, card issuer, or money transmitter. All card issuance, holds, and settlements are performed by Stripe Link under its own terms with you and your bank.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older, have a valid Google account, and have an active Stripe Link wallet. You agree to use Mask only for lawful transactions you are authorized to make.
3. How money actually moves
Stripe Link uses a prefund-then-capture model. When you approve a mint, Stripe Link places an authorization hold on your funding card for the full requested amount, which appears as a pending charge on your statement immediately. The merchant later captures the hold; if the card goes unused or fails, the hold drops within 1–7 business days. Mask cannot accelerate, pause, or refund holds — only Stripe Link and your bank can.
4. Freezing and closing cards
Freezing a card in Mask stops the extension from autofilling it. It does not cancel the underlying Stripe Link spend request, which remains valid at the issuer until its 12-hour expiry. Closing or deleting a card in Mask only hides it from the dashboard; it does not retroactively revoke a card the merchant has already captured.
5. Your responsibility
- You are responsible for every transaction you authorize through Mask.
- You are responsible for the security of your Google account and your Stripe Link wallet.
- You agree not to use Mask for fraud, money laundering, evading merchant terms of service, automated checkout abuse, or any jurisdiction-restricted purchase.
6. Service availability
Mask is provided “as is.” We aim for high availability but make no guarantee. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time. We will give reasonable notice before removing core functionality.
7. Termination
You may stop using Mask at any time by uninstalling the extension and disconnecting your Stripe Link wallet on the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or if we are required to by law.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives at this URL with the effective date at the top. Your continued use of Mask after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
9. Governing law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, County of Tippecanoe.
